Legal Project Visiting Attorney
Brenda Chambliss is a graduate of Jackson State University (B.S. in Political Science) and Rutgers Law School in Newark, New Jersey. Chambliss is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, Florida and the District of Columbia.
Over the course of her legal career, Chambliss was a Prosecutor for the City of New Jersey, a private practitioner, served as Managing Attorney for the Department that prosecuted Child Welfare Legal Services cases in Florida’s Eighth Judicial District.
Chambliss was selected to become the first General Master for the Department of Children and Family Services – Child Welfare Legal Service Unit. She presided over cases for several counties within the region of Northern Florida.
Before working with MIRA, Chambliss worked in the field of immigration law for over a decade while residing in California.
